Assassin's Creed Unveils Surprising Attack on Titan Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre partnership that challenges conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Revealed
According to the official announcement, "A mysterious confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where rumors of prohibited practices and monstrous metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The narrative features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden cult.
The mission concentrates on "strange experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Changes
The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Additional Material
Players who accomplish the adventure will acquire an special katana in addition to several artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
